Description

We are looking to fill the role of Human Resources Manager at our head office located in YORKTON, SK.  Accountable for performing and supporting human resource activities including but not limited to; payroll processing, benefits, pension, compensation, selection and staffing, performance management programs, employee orientation and recognition programs.

Typical Accountabilities
- Responsible for timely processing of all payroll activities; collecting, entering and validating time cards. Including calculating overtime, benefits, bonuses, and vacation accrual.
- Investigate and solve discrepancies and answer questions related to payroll; timesheets, direct deposits, wage adjustments, benefits, pension, and leaves.
- Responsible for administration of benefits, and pension programs. Including new hire set up, status changes, and communicating with benefit and pension providers.
- Administer corporate selection and staffing policies and processes, including job descriptions, internal and external advertisements, employment branding, interview guides, internal hiring policies, and reporting.
- Participate in the support of industrial relations including administration of collective agreement.
- Accountable to support the implementation and administration of corporate training programs including onboarding of new employees to ensure training delivery is consistent with corporate strategy and initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a major in Human Resource Management AND minimum three (3) years experience in a payroll/human resource role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  
- Thorough knowledge of and experience processing payroll, benefits, and pensions. A Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset.
