Westmoreland Coal Company, Canada currently has a position available for a temporary, full time Administrative Assistant at the Estevan Mine. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for performing administrative and clerical duties at the mine site.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
- Provides back up support to Human Resources and Payroll and supports other departments as needed;
- Front reception duties;
- Coding of A/P invoices and A/P cheque runs;
- Payroll back up and job changes for hourly employees;
- Maintain office supplies;
- Organize company events;
- Fill in for other Administrative Assistants as needed; and
- Assuming other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have office experience;
- Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel;
- Attention to detail; and
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
