Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered with APEGS, P.Eng. designation with ability to sign and stamp engineering documents
- Minimum seven years of post-degree experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project planning skills
- People oriented with an ability to establish relationships, credibility and trust
The following experience is considered an asset:
- Machine design
- Permission to consult in Saskatchewan
- Mechanical or structural equipment design
- Bulk material handling
- Mobile equipment, heavy industrial equipment, or mining equipment design
As an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical engineering and design
- Work at client mine sites and facilities, including work away from home on a rotational basis
- Drawing reviews and checking
- Field checking and verification at various shops or client facilities
- Equipment inspections and commissioning
- Creating technical and equipment specifications
- Data sheet preparation
- Provide estimates for use on proposals and projects
- Establishing client relationships and delivery of projects
- Project management duties
- Other tasks as required to meet our clients and operational requirements
