Description

Working within a Supportive Apartment Living environment for pregnant and early post partum women struggling with addiction issues, the Program Support Workers provide 24 hour on site supervision and supports to residents guided by the principles of harm reduction and trauma informed practice.  This will include assisting parents to develop parenting and life skills, assisting women in connecting with other relevant community resources, assisting families to develop written support and safety plans, teaching family skills, and providing transportation to appointments and programming.  Previous experience working within a group home setting and/or working with families with similar backgrounds are assets.  Please highlight your knowledge of women and substance abuse issues, pre and post natal care, and harm reduction.  A combination of education and experience will be considered. A valid Drivers Licence is required.  This position is for overnight shifts. Previous experience working overnight shifts is required.
