Job Duties
- Responsible for being first point of contact for participants with any inquiries regarding Team Raiser (peer to peer fundraising platform) personal fundraising pages
- Assisting participants in setting up personal fundraising pages
- Proactively contacting participants to see if they need assistance with fundraising
- Assisting in promoting event online and in person though social media, workshops, cold calls, etc.
- Provide any additional supports to the Events lead in regards to event logistics leading up to the event.
- Assist in soliciting volunteers, ambassadors and participants
- Assist in executing event external events for Ryde the Hangar promotions
- Work flexible part time hours
- Weekend availability is important
REQUIREMENTS
- Flexible/adaptable, able to working a fast-paced, ever changing environment and able to effectively manage a demanding schedule and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the talent for communicating clearly and concisely in a professional manner
- Sound decision making, problem solving and research skills
- Ability to effectively promote and sell ideas and programs with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships within the community
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work occasional overtime including some evenings and weekends. Some travel necessary.
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Microsoft Office experience
- Team Raiser or other fundraising site experience an asset
- Minimum one year experience in a related field (i.e. events assistant, fund development)
- Post-secondary education (events, Public Relations and or marketing preferred)
