The Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) is working to make homelessness rare, brief and non-reoccurring in Saskatoon.

Description
The Director of Strategic Initiatives is primarily responsible for the coordination of SHIPs contract to administer the Government of Canadas Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS) funding in Saskatoon.  This involves facilitating the development, contracting and monitoring of sub-projects in order to meet HPS program priorities, terms and conditions, and directives.  Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position acts as the primary contact for sub-project proponent queries and concerns, and provides updates to government on program activities and outcomes.

Other responsibilities include research, data gathering, planning, report coordination, overseeing relevant sector teams, and brokering with stakeholders to promote successful outcomes for the homelessness service and housing sector.

Duties
Job duties include:
- managing calls for proposal
- conducting information sessions for potential applicants
- project development activities
- proposal assessment
- sub-project due diligence evaluation
- contract management
- sub-project activity and financial monitoring
- assessing potential risks and technical challenges and develops appropriate risk mitigation plans
- coordination of activities such as project team meetings, training
- brokering with other stakeholders to assist with project outcome delivery
- outcome measure coordination
- quarterly and annual reporting
