Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking 1 motivated individual for the position of Education Administrative Assistant
Duties:
Advise staff of upcoming meetings/record, transcribe & distribute meeting minutes
Maintain attendance records of all department staff
Provide back up support to receptionist in absence
Maintain filing system/computer programs & files
Make necessary travel/ hotel arrangements
Maintain and order office supplies/equipment by preparing purchase order requisitions & sending to suppliers
Prepare materials for workshops/ meetings& assist with coordination of workshops & meetings by booking meeting rooms/handling travel arrangements any required materials, kits, meals and presenters
Preparation and maintenance of departmental forms/flies/data base/reports, records/supply orders/ policies/ inventories
Maintain a Calendar of Events
Keep record of all teaching staff
Maintain familiarity with funding agencies
Maintain familiarity with the Education budgets; Issue invoices for Fee for Service Agreements for Unaffiliated First Nations
Complete on-line documentation
Review financial statements for accuracy and develop budgets paying close attention to detail
Qualifications:
Must have good working knowledge of accounting/financial procedures
Willing to travel and must possess a valid drivers license (and maintain throughout employment) and reliable vehicle
Work irregular to complete special requests and/or projects
Manage a number of people, priorities and projects at one time,the environment requires excellent organizational/time management Knowledge of First Nations culture and issues Please quote Comp#17-18-033
Preference will be given to those of Aboriginal ancestry under exemption E-96 of the Human Rights Code.
Shortlist candidates must be able to provide a current original copy of the CPIC at the time of the interview & 3 written reference letters
