The Case Manager for Assessment Suites will work to support individuals who have been involved in a high risk lifestyle, with the philosophy of building on strengths and supporting challenges. This will require providing one on one support as well as working with various professionals and support agencies to coordinate meeting the daily living, health, financial and social needs of individuals and/or families who have been involved in high risk lifestyle.
Provide 24 hour assessment, stabilization and mentorship support to families referred to CUMFI Assessment Suites.
Requirements:
-Bachelor in Social Work.
-Ability to speak a First Nations or Metis language is an asset.
-Knowledge and understanding of the history of Aboriginal peoples and their socio-economic backgrounds.
-An understanding of child development and age-appropriate developmental needs of children.
-Must possess and understanding of positive and culturally appropriate approaches to parenting.
-Must be knowledgeable of the dynamics of living with HIV/AIDS.
-Must be knowledgeable with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and other cognitive disabilities.
-Must have knowledge of both solution focused and strength based theories.
-Knowledge of alcohol/drug recovery and relapse dynamics is an asset.
-Satisfactory criminal and vulnerable persons record check.
-Must possess a valid Class 5 driver?s license and own a reliable vehicle.
