Description

Reporting to Health Program Manager, the position will be responsible for the following:
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
1.Provide reception services for the health centre;
Retrieve messages from the answering machine and change messages as required;
Handle telephone inquiries and direct to the appropriate health staff;
Greet clients at the health centre and direct them to the appropriate health staff;
Maintain health centre staff in/out sheets and itinerary;
Maintain good interpersonal relations by assisting clients as required;
2.Process all incoming and outgoing mail;
Collect mail & prepare outgoing mail from post office & band office;
Open, date-stamp, and sort mail within the health centre;
Maintain a central log-book of all in-coming mail & photocopy required documents and provide to appropriate personnel;
Ensure that incoming mail designated as confidential is given to the appropriate individual;
Ensure that outgoing mail designated as confidential is appropriately marked and dispatched accordingly;
3.Participate in in-service training sessions as required;
QUALIFICATIONS
1.Minimum Grade 12 or G.E.D. 12 would be an asset & have demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information and be highly motivated.
2.Must have a demonstrated ability to work & communicate well with others.
3.A valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle and meet the SGIs insurance requirements.
4.Must have demonstrated ability to accept supervision, have access to communication devices & provide contact information.
5.The ability to speak Saulteaux, an effective understanding of Saulteaux culture and spirituality, and experience working with First Nations communities is preferred.
6.Must have a clear current CPIC (Canadian Criminal Records Check), which identifies a vulnerable sectors check.
