Primary Purpose: Working in collaboration with the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) Curriculum Chair, the Indigenous Health Committee, Post-Graduate Medical Education (PGME), Continuing Professional Development (which includes Medical Education (CME) and Faculty Development) and members of the management leadership team of the UGME curriculum leadership groups, this position will provide coordination for Indigenous knowledge in medical curriculum across the four year undergraduate medical education program and into PGME and CPD. The incumbent will bring a focus inclusive of Indigenous specific curriculum, practicums, case-based learnings with Indigenous content and community experience type exposures for UGME, PGME and CPD while consulting appropriately and respectfully with Indigenous communities, urban and rural, for input, feedback, and guidance.
The Specialist will lead the content development and the integration of this curriculum in the medical school program and contribute to the accreditation standards of the medical school program.
