Description

The Salvation Army is seeking an Admin Assistant to provide reception and support for the Community Services office.

Qualifications:    
- post secondary Admin. certificate/diploma
- bookkeeping experience considered an asset but not essential for the role
- pleasant telephone manner and strong customer service skills
- ability to work in a team environment, with minimal supervision
- Possess problem solving skills
- strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills essential

Specific duties include:
- frontline reception for individuals and clients entering entering the office
- Fields and directs all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner
- General office duties
- Monitors inventory of office supplies and reorders as required
- Maintains office equipment
- Designs posters and sale signs for Thrift Store
- Processes general correspondence
- Prepares and photocopies Bulletin for Sunday Services

Starting Rate: $ 12.69. Benefits include group medical/dental, RRSP.

Hours: 30.0 hour week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm (1 hour lunch)

Successful candidate must provide satisfactory criminal record check

Candidate must have understanding of and support for the Mission and Ministry of The Salvation Army
