Job Description: The Clinical Educator provides visible proactive leadership and promotes the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming.  The Clinical Educator is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs.  The Clinical Educator will use a consultative approach and research finding to provide support to health professionals as appropriate.  Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within designated units in the Health Region.  The Clinical Educator will be responsible for specific clinical areas as directed but also work collaboratively with others on the Nurse Educator team.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
. Three years previous experience working in an acute care setting (experience teaching adults)
. Critical care course would be an asset
. ACLS would be an asset
. Clinical Instructor and /or Nurse Educator Course would be an asset
. experience in labor and delivery nursing, perioperative nursing, or critical care nursing an asset

Field Work required
Expected Start Date: April 1, 2018
FTE: 0.50

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
56.00 hours per 3 week rotation: 7 shifts of 8.00 hours
