This part-time position works 9 & 10 hour shifts, 12:00pm-9:00pm and 9:00pm-7:00am shifts. Shifts include weekdays, weekends and call-in. Needing availability seven days per week. The position is responsible for:
- providing support counselling, advocacy, information, and referrals as necessary;
- implementing services and programs provided by Southwest Crisis Services;
- general maintenance of the Safe Shelter;
- administrative functions; and
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent is required.
- One year post-secondary education or significant experience in social services or human services field is preferred.
- An understanding of and sensitivity to issues relevant to family violence, particularly violence against women.
- Ability and desire to work well with others.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary: $16.75/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift differential for the 9:00pm-7:00am shift.
