The Organization:
Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides excellence in care, housing, and community services within a nurturing Christian environment.  This position will be at The Village at Stonebridge.

The Position:
The Chef is responsible for the overall operation of the central kitchen including supervision, budgeting, inventory and quality control. Under limited supervision, the Kitchen Supervisor is also responsible for the hiring, orientation, scheduling, direction, supervision, evaluation and discipline of the cooks and dishwashers. The Kitchen Supervisor is accountable for the preparation, cooking and baking duties required to prepare food for service.

The Applicants:
Applicants must have a Journeyman Cook Certification, minimum 1 year cooking experience in a commercial kitchen setting, and experience with inventory control and budgeting.  Experience working with seniors is an asset. Applicants must hold a Food Safe certificate and possess good interpersonal, organizational and supervisory skills. Applicants must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
