DUTIES:
-Work as part of a team to provide support to children and youth with varying abilities in a respite and recreational summer day program throughout July and August
- Help plan and organize program activities
- Provide group and one-on-one support, interaction and care for children with disabilities
- Ensure safety and confidentiality of participants
- Provide transportation for participants
- Maintain records of activities and required documentation
- Assist with fundraising events
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
- Responsible, organized, caring, patient, enthusiastic, and able to work independently and with others
- Enjoy working with children and youth
- Have an understanding of disabilities and firm belief in inclusion
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
*Applicant must be a student enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies for the fall.
Must obtain a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector completed.
