The Hotel Maintenance Manager manages all engineering and maintenance operations of the building, grounds, and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. The Manager is accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation. The successful candidate will be managing between 3-8 employees working as Maintenance Personnel, Pool Attendants, and Porters, and will be responsible for both department administration, maintenance duties, and staff training and development.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years' experience in maintenance in hotels, nursing homes, apartment buildings, or other commercial customer-facing settings. Possession of a valid fireman's boiler operator's certificate is mandatory. The ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics, to communicate effectively with staff and guests, and to work a flexible schedule (including weekends and holidays) is required.
