Siemens Transportation Group Inc., is looking for an Assistant Controller for their Flat Deck / Heavy Haul Division.

Responsibilities
Review and approve accounts with a collection agency
Complete bankruptcy and receivership forms
Review, update and enforce Corporate Credit Policies
Ensure that the Finance department attains its quarterly goals and objectives
Maintain accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Prepare financial statements; ensure variances are analyzed and investigated
Provide timely, accurate financial information to internal and external users
Manage AR payment entry and reconciliation
Develop and deliver training programs to personnel
Assist with preparation of annual audit working papers
Participate in the implementation of software upgrades

Qualifications
University Bachelors degree or College diploma in Finance or Accounting
CPA designation or working towards designation
Three or more years of experience in a senior accounting role in a corporate environment
Knowledge of accounting principles and corporate reporting requirements
Experience with computer software programs, including accounting packages and PC based spreadsheet/word
processing packages in a Windows environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analysis and problem solving abilities
