Description

The National Pulse Science Cluster program is an industry-led research-funding program, which falls within the AgriScience Clusters program of the Canadian Agricultural Partnerships framework of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and aims to enhance the global competitiveness and profitability of the industry in Canada through strategic investments in the pulse sector. This program is administered by Saskatchewan Pulse Growers on behalf of the Canadian pulse industry.

Reporting to the Director of Research and Development, you will bring demonstrated experience in project management along with strong written and verbal communication skills to the role. As part of our team, you will utilize your exceptional organizational skills as you work to establish project contracts, initiate amendments to research plans, monitor project progress and budgets, and provide scientific and financial reporting on outcomes.

As the Science Cluster Research Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to engage with knowledgeable individuals across the academic and pulse industry communities, including working collaboratively to identify and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technical information from projects to support the achievement of the pulse industrys strategic goals.

As the ideal candidate, you have a Masters Degree in agriculture, or a related field, with three or more years of progressive experience in project management and financial administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Eligibility for P.Ag. designation is an asset. With a passion for agriculture, and excitement for the idea of working on behalf of Canadian pulse farmers, you are ready to lead the Pulse Science Cluster.
