Job Description: The Population Health Promotion Practitioner within Health Promotion department develops, implements and evaluates broad strategies to create the conditions that support health, including the social determinants of health, for citizens of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (including SHA staff). This position supports population-based Health Promotion activities including: the development of Healthy Public Policy, creating supportive environments, strengthening community action, and re-orienting Health Services. This person works in partnership with other SHA departments and community partners to help set the direction for population Health Promotion activities and will advise and influence the Health Promotion department, Public Health Services, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority regarding Population Health Promotion issues and opportunities.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in a health-related field
Experience
Experience working at the community level in a Health Promotion field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Problem solving skills
Decision making skills
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
