Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: This position will provide brief intervention services to youth who are presenting with acute psychiatric and psychosocial challenges. The Social Worker is responsible for the development and implementation of mental health strategies with youth in collaboration with parents/caregivers and community partners. The Social Worker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the coping skills of youth during times of crisis and need. Services will be provided in both rural and urban environments using individual, family, and group strategies to promote healthy coping and resilience for vulnerable youth.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
Experience working with mental health difficulties and youth in both acute care and community settings. Experience developing, implementing and coordinating plans with youth in both community and acute care settings.
Recent experience working in a multidisciplinary mental health community setting with youth. Successful experience working collaboratively with community agencies and professionals including psychiatry. Experience working with youth presenting with severe and persistent mental health issues including self-harm will be considered an asset. Experience providing youth, family and group counselling for youth with severe mental health challenges.
