Job Description: The Nurse Clinician is part of a multidisciplinary team, working in collaboration with the Supervisors for the Health Centres, Supervisors for Disease Control, Street Heatlh and Sexual Health Programs, and reporting to the Manager of Immunization Department. The Nurse Clinician is an expert clinical nurse. He/she integrates experience, advanced level skills and knowledge in immunization using nursing theory, population health promotion strategies and principles of adult learning. The Nurse Clinician position requires skill in collaborative multidisciplinary consultation with Managers, Supervisors, Public Health Nurses, Physicians, community partners and stakeholders to provide a comprehensive approach to the reduction of vaccine preventable diseases and health promotion.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Level C Health Care Provider (HCP) - Heart & Stroke
Experience
5 years recent Public Health Nursing experience in specific clinical area.
1 year public health nursing experience is an asset.

Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of immunization.
Demonstrates highly developed clinical assessment skills.
Demonstrates knowledge of procedures regarding vaccine procurement, storage and cold chain maintenance, of vaccine administation, drug interactions, and adverse reactions.
