Job Description: The Speech-Language Pathologist-Masters reports directly to the Stroke Services Manager, the Director of Integrated Primary Health Services and receives clinical guidance from the Speech-Language Pathologist Masters-Senior. He/she is accountable for the provision of speech-language pathology services for the target population of adults who have experienced a neurological event.

The Speech-Language Pathologist-Masters is accountable for assisting in planning, organizing, directing and supervising the activities of the designated service area within the Speech-Language Pathologist guidelines to ensure that patients/clients referred receive a high standard of speech therapy. This will be done in accordance with Sunrise Health Region mission statement and physical and occupational therapy department statement of purpose, policies and procedures of the facility and department.
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
Experience
Experience in working with neurogenic communication disorders and swallowing in the adult population

This is a "field hours" position and flexibility may be required in providing client service
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Ability to follow safe work practices
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience working with clients following a stroke or neurological event is an asset
