RMD Engineering Inc. is a custom engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machine design. Our new modern, locally owned and operated offices and manufacturing facilities are in the East Cory Industrial Park north of Saskatoon. RMD services the automation and science sectors
RMD is looking to engage a capable Journeyman Machinist for a full-time position. In general, duties will include running vertical CNC machining centers to manufacture small run parts (20parts), as well as NC horizontal boring mill to manufacture medium sized weldments. Manual CNC programing without cam is a requirement.
Responsibilities

- Apply knowledge of machine procedures, mathematics, mechanics, and metal properties
Machining Skills
- Read and interpret blue prints
- Mathematics - Using mathematics to convert drawing information into useful machining information
- Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems
- Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Measuring - Ability to choose the correct tool, verify its accuracy, and use it to measure within the its designed range ie. Micrometer +/- .0001.
- Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Installation - Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
