Description

We are currently recruiting for an Information Technology Systems Administrator who would be primarily responsible for; providing support to the College in all areas of IT at an advanced level; assist the IT Coordinator in designing, implementing, and managing the College IT systems; infrastructure, internal and external applications; local and wide area networks, servers and email. Update and maintain all licensed hardware and software in the College and ensure compliance with policies and legislation. Provide technical support, computer training, and advice to staff; assist with developing or modifying College policies and procedures; assist the IT Coordinator in identifying procedural problems and implementing solutions. Under the supervision of the Information Technology Coordinator, perform RMA, hardware, software, service returns, and warranty/contract fulfillment. Perform audits as required by the Information Technology Coordinator and other duties as assigned.

The minimal qualifications for this position are a two-year post-secondary diploma in IT/Computers/Networking or related equivalent. more than two (2) years of related experience at a Systems Administrator (Tier 3) level; advanced skills in designing and managing IT systems.

Must be prepared to schedule hours of work according to the demands of the position including evenings and weekends when necessary (i.e. field hours).

Must possess a valid drivers license and be willing to travel including overnight stays, air travel, and travel on gravel roads in all weather conditions;  must be able to lift computers and equipment up to 50lbs while loading into and out of vehicles, classrooms, and other buildings.
