Brandt is currently seeking Manufacturing and Engineering Business Analyst in our Regina location. This position acts as a liaison between the manufacturing and engineering business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business clients. They will collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed. The Manufacturing/Engineering Business Systems Analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who facilitates and translates the manufacturing and engineering requirements to be implemented in technology solutions meeting the business needs.
Responsibilities include:
Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into functional and technical requirements
Critically analyze, evaluate, and document information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding ensuring the users needs are met.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into manufacturing and application requirements
Excellent understanding of business and manufacturing complexity and project interdependencies
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional area
Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or an Engineering Discipline
3-5 Years of manufacturing experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Preference given to those who have experience working in a large multi-plant manufacturing environment
