Description

Visionpool is hiring Intermediate to Senior Municipal/Civil Engineers for Municipal Engineering Department, specializing in roads, subdivision development, site work, water/sewer lines and landfills.

Responsibilities:

Assist clients by identifying pragmatic, economical, innovative and suitable options for solutions for infrastructure problems
Evaluate alternatives and selecting appropriate solutions for municipal infrastructure challenges.
Prepare concept plans and preliminary designs for new infrastructure, rehabilitation and retrofit project
Prepare cost estimates, permit applications, and detailed designs for advanced-stage projects
Develop specifications and tender
Field surveying, quantity estimations, construction inspection and contract administration
Value engineering analysis to justify solutions with positive economic indicators
Undertake technical and feasibility studies
Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials

Qualifications
BSc in Civil, Municipal or Infrastructure Engineering.
5 - 8 years of progressive experience in municipal services, planning, design and construction activities
Current P.Eng registration with a Canadian jurisdiction, or the ability to obtain APEGS registration within one year
Demonstrated experience with projects in roads, water/sewer lines, subdivision development, landfills, lagoons, etc
Extensive experience with onsite inspections and assessments of civil engineering projects
Demonstrated leadership experience
Project Management Experience
Aptitude for general construction methods
Strong verbal and written communication skills
