THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
A mechanically inclined person with a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience in a job shop environment and/or post secondary education relevant to purchasing and supply chain management.
Excellent interpersonal skills

THE JOB:
Reporting Commercial Services Manager, this is a one year contract position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the accurate and cost effective validation and execution of purchasing requisitions, monitoring orders and expediting as required. Other duties will include support throughout the Supply Chain department. To succeed in this team position, a candidate should have the following attributes:
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills on multiple professional levels,
*A proven background in purchasing industrial material,
*Understanding of international trade agreements and logistics,
*A mechanical aptitude and spacial visualization ability,
*Relevant post secondary education and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar industry and position.
Only candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Canada will be considered for this position. The successful applicant will be required to complete a controlled goods security assessment.
