Description

On behalf of our client employer we are looking for qualified individuals who are career minded and want to maintain long-term employment to serve as floor hands on service drilling rigs within Saskatchewan.

Service rig contractors provide specialized equipment to oil companies. This equipment  and the personnel who operate it  are integral to keeping oil and gas wells in production. Service Rig hands typically move to positions of authority and responsibility. People in this highly-specialized occupation are the backbone to Canadas petroleum industry. Job duties include assisting with the set up and take down of drilling rig and equipment, handling the dripping equipment and performing and needed maintenance to the equipment. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Applicants must have,or willing to obtain before employment commences: H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and Class 5 drivers license.

Interested applicants must be willing to relocate to Oxbow, SK. Previous experience on service rigs is an asset but not necessarily required.

In this industry, you learn the job by doing the job. You advance to more senior positions by proving you do your job well and showing you are a team player. Many senior people in service rig companies started their careers on a service rig. Other oil and gas sectors value this hands-on experience as well. A wide range of career opportunities is open to someone with rig experience. This industry has developed a competency program to assist employees with their on-the-job training
