Saskatoon Machine Works Limited is an established machine & metal fabrication shop in business for 30 years, serving the military, scientific research, agriculture, automotive and numerous resource industries.
SMW has an immediate opening for a full time Brake Press Operator. The applicant must be a team player, self-starter, safety and quality conscious, and must understand scheduling of orders. The individual will:
- work from customer drawings, specifications, and/or instructions to fabricate custom and production run parts
- setup and operate machines by reviewing program and drawings, tooling machines, and operating machines to produce quality parts on time
- create and edit programs at the controls
- check fabricated parts for accuracy
- maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
- follow standard safety regulations
- perform maintenance on machinery
- perform other and related duties as assigned
To be considered for this position you must:
- have 3-5 years of brake press experience
- ability to read drawings and part specifications
- ability to setup and operate machines
- ability to use standard measuring tools
- ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- ability to work overtime as required
Wages will be dependent upon level of experience. Our atmosphere is team-oriented, relaxed and friendly.
