KPCL is hiring HSE Advisors for work secured around the Lanigan, Saskatoon, Warman/ Martensville, Estevan, Belle Plaine and Coronach areas
Applicants must have a valid driver license, pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and have a NCSO or CSO certification. Preference given to those with experience on civil construction projects
Key duties include:
- Implementing and monitoring the Employers HSE program, and aiding in the revision and update of policies, procedures and practices
- Inspecting operations to ensure compliance with the Employers and/or Clients HSE programs
- Ensuring sites and equipment satisfy Occupational HSE standards with regard to compliance, audits and protocols
- Undertaking risk assessments, including, but not limited to the development of safe work plans and following up with mitigation
- Conducting HSE orientations/training and arranging pre-employment requirements
- Collaborating with Supervision to host daily toolbox meetings/other safety meetings
- Investigating, reporting and tracking all incidents as required
- Communicating information clearly and effectively to all co-workers, foreman and Superintendents
- Listening and carrying out instructions diligently, and speaking up when instructions are unclear, not understood or the hazards are not identified or mitigated
- Working cooperatively with clients and client representatives
- Actively participating, promoting and engaging others in a culture of safety amongst employees, subcontractors and clients
- Willingness to travel between jobsites and work overtime when required
- Other duties as assigned
Applicants must be competent using Microsoft Office. Prior experience with Explorer Eclipse is beneficial.
