Description

Brandt Industries Ltd. is currently seeking an Engineer (Mechanical, Ind. Systems or Electronics) or a Technologist with robotic welding programming experience for our Regina location.  The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the successful operation, programming, troubleshooting, welding quality, commissioning and productivity of Robotic Welding systems and other automated equipment. Other duties of this position include:

Programming robotic welding systems
Commissioning automated equipment
Setup fixtures and welder according to the Part Control Plan
Review, evaluate and improve upon programming, fixtures, welding, and cycle times
Inspect joined components for defects/non-conformance or engineering change requests
Effectively develop reports
Assist in analyzing and resolving work problems
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Systems Engineering or equivalent
Work experience with ABB or FANUC online and offline programming or another robot brand
Proficiency in AutoCAD or CAD/CAM, Inventor or SOLIDWORKS and MS Office is required
Fabrication/Machine shop industrial environment experience
Proficiency in installation/commissioning of equipment
GMAW Welding Experience preferable
Experience programming C++, PLC, CNC is an asset
Familiar with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Familiar with Quality and Lean Manufacturing Principles
A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
