Agriculture in the Classroom Sask Inc. (AITC-SK) is a registered charity that works to connect kids and agriculture through innovative, curriculum-based programs and resources.  The AITC-SK mandate reaches across Saskatchewan and is strongly focused on experiential learning. AITC-SK is seeking a motivated, energetic assistant to help deliver garden-based educational programming.

Under the direction of the AITC-SK Programs Manager, the School Garden Programs Assistant will carry out the following activities for the Little Green Thumbs and Little Green Thumbs school gardening programs:
Provide electronic and in-person support to program participants
Facilitate classroom presentations
Coordinate and facilitate training of new participating classrooms and provide support
Continually improve and expand the program; incorporating feedback from partners, teachers, and students
Contribute to the development of learning resources to support classroom learning
Compile evaluation reports
Contribute to the development and management of the program budget
Contribute to the development and implementation of a communications plan
Manage the program database
Support general organizational programming
Excellent communication skills
Willing to travel frequently within Saskatchewan
A degree in agriculture, environmental education, or biological sciences.

This position is funded through a wage-grant. As per the terms of the grant, the successful candidate must be under 30 years old and have graduated from a three or four year program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
