Description

Brandt Developments is currently seeking a Land Development Manager to join their team.

The Land Development Manager reports to the VP - Developments and is responsible for overseeing the acquisition of property and the subsequent planning and construction for specific use of the land. This person will be responsible to take into account property value, economic trends, research zoning ordinances and environmental restrictions when assessing land for potential projects. This may involve applying to localities, working with regional planners to rezone or subdivide a parcel of land, and working with internal service providers and third parties to develop concept plans, feasibility analysis, business plans and project plans.

This position is responsible to coordinate the purchase of land, and coordinate the work of architects, engineers, project managers, construction companies, utility companies and property managers. This person will apply to localities to perform impact analyses and receive building construction permits. The Land Development Manager will also perform or request that the locality perform, environmental and safety reviews.

The idea candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of land development experience, with a working knowledge of construction requirements and processes and demonstrate experience in developing or overseeing the development of concept plans and feasibility analysis is required.  A Bachelor of Science or Arts degree with emphasis in either Engineering, planning, business administration, finance, economics or Real Estate is an asset. A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering & Management is preferred.
