Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Millwright for our new Saskatoon location. Responsibilities include:

Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, and repair of machinery
Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
Inspect/diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Work in an environment where the products and jobs are continually changing
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
10 years practical experience in the millwright trade in an industrial/mining environment
Must have a Journeypersons certificate from a recognized trade school
Must have solid working knowledge of mechanical drives and assemblies
Excellent understanding of blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Excellent understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as pumps and gearboxesProven ability to lead a team of skilled mechanics in a shop or customer site environment
Strong ability to teach and train apprentices and other staff
Proven experience working beside and communicating with high-profile customers
Successful candidate may need to work shift work/overtime and on customer sites.
