Description

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing and assisting in all  Manufacturing Engineering activities.

Position Responsibilities:

1.    Establish methods and standards for new/changed parts.
2.    Work closely with design engineering and plant operations in developing processes and assist in the development of new products with manufacturing requirements as part of the development process.
3.    Analyze, document, investigate and implement corrections for process failures; and initiate and implement cost reductions.
4.    Provide leadership and work with other functions to help the plant meet goals in safety, quality, ISO, schedule performance, inventory and cost, and participate in a team environment.
5.    To establish economical manufacturing routings for a wide range of materials including castings and weldments.
6.    Develop and implement capital projects to improve material flow, reduce floor space requirements, and reduce costs.
7.    Assist in the development of justification for new capital equipment and manage the installation and startup of the new equipment.
8.    Provide support and participate in new product launch teams.
9.    Select correct tooling for new processes.
10.    Lead or assist in the design of new or revised tooling to be used in all phases of the manufacturing process, including fabrication, welding, and assembly.


Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Agricultural or Electrical disciplines)
2.    Proficient in the use of a PC, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
3.    Must be proficient with public speaking in small and large groups.
4.    WCM/Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience is a plus.
5.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team player a must.
6.    Able to work under minimal supervision. Extensive amount of independent thinking is required.
7.    Good analytical and problem solving skills.
