Description

Full-time ECE position with preschool aged children (possibility for movement later in term.)
    
We are a 62 space center that serves families with children ages 6 weeks through five years.   As a Demonstration Centre we offer a place to model, for the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Early Childhood Education program students and other interested parties, the very best teaching and learning strategies based on current research.  
Minimum requirements:
    ECE Certificate / Level  II Certification , ECE Diploma / Level  III preferred
    Current First Aid and CPR
    Well developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of differing cultural and racial backgrounds,
    High level of professionalism, confidentiality and diplomacy.
    Patient, warm, energetic, flexible, sensitive and responsive
    Clear and Current Criminal Records check and Vulnerable Sector check and TB test    
    Ability to work a shift within centre hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to appropriately representing the Saskatoon Early Childhood Education Demonstration Centre in the following areas:
Educators ensure that a safe, developmentally appropriate, responsive, emergent curriculum/project approach is carefully planned and implemented in accordance with all relevant rules, legislation, policies and procedures of the Centre and within Saskatchewan.  The educator will form positive relationships with all children, families and colleagues and possess a genuine passion for working with young children and families.  The educator will be able to model and articulate the philosophy, program and techniques most appropriate for young children.
