Prairie Meats LP is accepting applications for a Warehouse Worker to join our shipping and receiving team at 2450 Dudley Street. The shift will be 1:30 pm to midnight, Monday through Thursday. Attention to detail is required in ensuring products are accurately picked and ready for delivery at the appropriate time or received in acceptable condition (i.e. proper temperatures, undamaged). All aspects of reviewing, picking and loading orders for customers will be expected.
Experience with hand held scanners and inventory software will be considered assets. The candidate must have the ability to work as part of the team that keeps the freezers well organized and the inventory accurately accounted for in both receiving and shipping areas.
The successful candidate should have recent experience picking and loading orders for shipment and/or receiving, as well as operating a forklift and pallet jack. This position will involve lifting 50 lbs and over as well as working in a very cool environment (much of the work includes picking orders in the freezer). Flexibility to shift to a day shift occasionally to help cover vacation would be considered an asset.
