Adecco is currently recruiting a Payroll Processor to work within Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on a 4-month contract. We are looking for a reliable individual who has a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience. To qualify for our Payroll Processor position, you must have Canadian Payroll Association Certification complete. The pay for the payroll processor position is between $30-45 per hour.
Payroll Processor Responsibilities:
- Required to work with different professionals at all levels of the organization
- Perform daily payroll department operations
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Understand and ensure compliance for taxation as required by the Canada Revenue Agency
- Ability to prepare a Record of Employment and Workers Compensation Board filing
- Service Canada Business Payroll Surveys, Garnishment compliance
- Prepare and file year end T4, T4A, and NR4 slips
- Reconcile and analyze payroll general ledger accounts
- Monthly and quarterly preparation of payroll and benefit related journal entries
Payroll Processor Requirements:
- Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-location business environment
- Experience with Ceridian, ADP, SAP, Oracle, and Time & Labor solutions preferred
- Proficiency in Excel
- Analytical skills
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and team player
- Ability to deal with sensitively with confidential material
