As part of the investment team, the Senior Investment Risk Analyst provides analytical research support to the investment team with respect to effective measurement and management of investment risk. The Senior Investment Risk Analyst is also responsible for monitoring the Funds investment risk, utilising the risk system, interacting with investment service providers, maintaining risk system data, and providing support to the Director of Investment Strategy & Risk and Chief Investment Officer.

Qualified candidates possess an undergraduate or advanced degree in finance, math, statistics or other related discipline with seven or more years of relevant experience in investment risk management with a pension plan, asset management firm or investment consulting firm. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. You will have or be working towards a professional designation such as PRM, FRM, or CFA and have knowledge of financial management, capital markets, and portfolio management concepts. Experience with third-party risk management software such as Aladdin Risk or BarraOne is an asset.

You have demonstrated excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong problem identification and resolution abilities with willingness to escalate issues appropriately; are able to exercise a high degree of initiative and sound judgment; and work with a considerable amount of independence. You work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation and with external service providers.
