The Executive Director, under the direction of the Board of Directors, must be dedicated to providing strategic direction through collaborative leadership of the operational, financial, clinical, and regulatory oversight of three Addictions Treatment Centres located in the Saskatchewan Region. The Executive Director is the chief manager of the organization, reporting directly to the MACSI Board of Directors, and is the key liaison between Board and management.
- Establishes and maintains positive and effective working relationships with organizational leadership in the areas of programming finance, communications, clinical, compliance, and HR
- Entrusts managers with responsibility for employee screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and other employee functions
- Review all insurance arrangements, legal contracts, and ensure all operations are undertaken prudently and within the law
- Develops, implements and supervises programming that is consistent with the organizations mission and that meet the needs of the organizations constituents and communities
- Implements new programs and services growing out of the strategic planning process
- Utilizes organizations HR policies and procedures, evaluates programs and support personnel
- Maintains a highly interactive relationship with the organizations support services as well as external stakeholders, and carries out related assignments as needed
- Establishes clear patterns of authority, responsibility, supervision, and communication with staff, including quarterly documented Manager meetings
- Minimum 5 years in the field of Mental health and addictions services or in social or health services
- Extensive experience in organizational and financial management, program planning, staff development and government relations
- Indigenous ancestry and have an in-depth knowledge of Metis and First Nations culture and community life is an asset
