Home Hardware is looking for an outgoing, team oriented and self-motivated Purchasing and Inventory Associate.
The Purchasing and Inventory Associate will assist in building stronger purchasing processes. They will be responsible for managing inventory, purchasing, receiving and administrative duties.
Position Responsibilities:
Issue purchasing orders for all product ordered for the store
Manage inventory levels to ensure proper inventory turns
Receive goods into inventory, including unpacking and verifying contents against appropriate documents; ensuring received goods are accurately input into the computer tracking system.
Communicate with sales staff in regard to orders and new products
Develop and maintain business relationship with vendors
Requirements:
3 or more years experience in retail sales, accounting or purchasing.
Strong knowledge of computer systems including Word and Excel
Ability to learn proprietary software quickly
Accurate and detail oriented
Excellent time management skills
Capacity to work independently and seek out assistance as required
Assets to this position:
Strong knowledge of merchandising, inventory and purchasing
Business administration diploma (or similar)
Familiar with POS and inventory management system
Knowledge of building industry
