This position will be primarily responsible for delivering ESL instruction to newcomers. You will assist immigrants/ refugees in their transition to a new environment and work culture in Canada, by helping them develop their English language skills and knowledge that enhance their full participation in the workforce and community.
- Instructor must plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, with minimal supervision.
- Extensive knowledge of the theory, practice and strategies for teaching adult learner.
- Understanding and appreciation of the cultural adaptation process and the barriers faced by immigrants and refugees language learners.
- Ability to learn and apply special teaching methods particular to immigrants and refugees learners adapting to a new society.

**Education and Experience**
- Must have certification in Teaching English as a Second Language, plus experience delivering instruction or programming to immigrant clients;
- A Bachelor of Education, Social Science Degree or other University Degree or comparable combination of ESL experience and training would also be appropriate.
**Required Licenses and/or Certification**
- CERTESL Certification, TESL or related accreditation/ certification recognized by TESL Saskatchewan or TESL Canada would be an asset.
- Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) certification of no criminal record. (Includes Vulnerable Sector Search) must be done within the last three months.
