Under the direction and supervision of the Northern Animal Rescue Board (NAR):
1) Ensure the quality care and treatment of all shelter animals is provided.
2) Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls in an effective, efficient and caring manner.
3) Ability to maintain good public relations and customer service with the public and be able to communicate effectively in a variety of situations in relation to this position.
4) Pick up and transport animals to shelter for impounding.
5) Clean and disinfect kennel areas, property surrounding kennels, vehicle (if provided by NAR) and equipment.
6) Perform work as guided by the NAR mission, vision and values, and treat animals humanely, with compassion and concern, and in a manner consistent with NARs Five Freedoms.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
