Description

The Casino Technician II is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, detailed malfunctions and/or complex repairs and troubleshooting of electronic hardware utilized in gaming operations including slot machines, coin, table and bank equipment. This position reports to the Operational Shift Managers.

Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have a one (1) year post-secondary Electronic Service Certificate or diploma from a recognized institution and a minimum of six (6) months experience in productively performing electronic repair and troubleshooting using diagnostic equipment.
Competencies:
Using a variety of assessment tools such as in-person interviews, role plays and written examinations, candidates will be assessed against the following competencies:
- Knowledge of standards, practises and procedures related to preventative maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electronic hardware utilized in gaming operations.
- Ability to operate and /or repair equipment with sophisticated set-up and control features
- Ability to read, interpret and apply information contained in documents including memos, schedules, manuals, forms, policies and/or procedures and disseminate/explain the information to others
- Skills in communicating effectively, courteously and respectfully with SaskGaming guests and co-workers demonstrating skill in handling difficult interactions involving complex or unclear requests for information
- Ability to provide assistance and guidance to others to maintain operational efficiency and service standard
- Ability to demonstrate and adhere to principles of teamwork including participation, shared responsibility, open communication, trust and mutual support
- Well-developed skill in performing complex mathematical calculations including ability to read, write, count, round, add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and decimals; convert fractions, decimals and percentages
