Facility: SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL
Job Description: THIS POSITION IS WITHIN THE ALTERNATIVES TO VIOLENCE PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SERVICES TO MEN TO ENABLE THEM TO STOP THEIR VIOLENCE TOWARD THEIR INTIMATE PARTNER.  THE INCUMBENT WILL CO-FACILITATE MEN'S GROUPS, MAINTAIN APPROPRIATE PARTNER CONTACT, AND PROVIDE SHORT-TERM CRISIS COUNSELLING, REFERRAL AND ADVOCACY AS REQUIRED.  THE INCUMBENT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA ENTRY RELATED TO UTILIZATION AND OUTCOME EVALUATION AND ASSIST WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROGRAM.  THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
DIRECTLY RELATED EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE VIOLENT, PREFERABLY IN A MENTAL HEALTH OR FAMILY SERVICES SETTING..  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced interpersonal skills
Advanced organizational skills
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced counseling skills
Knowledge of the health region and community resources
