Executive Director
As the Executive Director of this non-profit organization, you report to a governance Board of Directors and lead the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board. You ensure effective delivery of resident care and programming, and lead staffing, administration, and general operations.
Adept at leading people and managing multiple priorities, you model Elmwoods values and ensure that the organizations programs and services contribute to the mission of the organization and reflect the Boards priorities. Your focus is on ensuring your team provides a safe, caring and enriched environment for all residents. You are skilled at leading change and ensuring your team is focused on common goals.
With strong financial acumen, you oversee the preparation of the annual budget to support the achievement of the operational plan, and monitor the plan and finances monthly to ensure you are on target. You also oversee the property portfolio and ensure effective maintenance and facilities management.
You are experienced working with a volunteer Board of Directors, and foster effective relationships with various stakeholders including families, other community-based organizations, government ministries and agencies, and community partners.
Equipped with knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to non-profit, community-based organizations, an understanding of individuals with intellectual disabilities, a related undergraduate degree, and over eight years of experience at the senior or executive management level, you are ready to lead this large and diverse organization.
