Description

* Applicants must be returning to a post-secondary institution in fall *

Responsibilities:
Assisting in the planning, marketing and delivery of major community-based events including Broadway Street Fair and Word on the Street. This will allow the candidate to contribute to the overall development of this vibrant business and entertainment district.
Designing and creating stakeholder communications. Including: internal and external promotional materials, emails, newsletters, social media posts and website content.
Booking vendors, flight and travel arrangements.
Creating invoices and expense reports.
Directing and answering emails and phone calls.
Perform general administrative duties.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills allowing the candidate to enjoy working with multiple stakeholder groups on several different projects simultaneously.
Must possess strong written communication abilities, formidable organizational skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Photoshop.
Ability to meet deadlines confidently.
Previous event planning experience preferred.
Part-time in June and July, Full time in August with some part-time in September to complete reports. Approximately 240 hours total.
