Reporting to the Director, GR and Communication, the Coordinator, Marketing and Communications supports the development and delivery of internal and external marketing and communications initiatives to increase awareness of multiple sclerosis and the work of the MS Society. Through social media platforms, print materials and by leveraging our networks across Saskatchewan, the Coordinator engages the community to meet our awareness, advocacy, support and fundraising priorities.
Responsibilities:
Communications
Writes and edits content for internal and external documents
Provides communications and media relations support for events
Responsible for website and social media content, posting and updates
Creates content for, designs, and prepares event and online collateral
Assists with development marketing plans
Acts as communications liaison at MS Society events
Applies the MS Societys established graphic standards to all materials
Creates accurate, clear specifications for print and other designed products, works with suppliers to ensure satisfactory delivery
Coordinates storytelling through volunteer and community profiles
Social media engagement
Develops strategies and tactical plans for the deployment of social media content supporting the MS Societys work
Drives engagement and delivers content on social media
Measures content performance, and research ways to help the MS Society meet content goals
Qualifications:
University degree/diploma in communications or related field with 2 -3 years of relevant experience
Software proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
High level of proficiency in website content management and social media platforms
