SED is looking for a Support Clerk to join our Purchasing Group. The successful applicant will assist in the daily maintenance of the engineering database, as well as other clerical support as required.
Responsibilities include:
-Inputting engineering elements into the configuration management (CM) database;
-Recording process and release engineering change requests (ECRs) and improvement requests (IRs);
-Entering process and release deviations/waivers, engineering change proposals and project work directives;
-Keying process release/distribution notes, software release notes and other storage request forms;
-Entering document status information in the CM database regarding its identity, latest revision, location and storage; and,
-File configuration management control documentation.
The Support Clerk will also provide support to the Materials group and the Logistics Coordinator including:
-Assisting Material Planners with shop traveler initiation and documentation assembly, and dispersal after conclusion of manufacturing; and,
-Maintaining Purchasing, Material Planning and the Parts Specialist Records including filing, archival, retention scheduling and record disposal.
The Support Clerk position will be of interest to candidates with a High School diploma/equivalent, the ability to multi-task, be a self-starter and an interest in working in team environments.
The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is mandatory.
