Description

The School of Tobacco Coordinator will work as part of the Health Services Team to assist in implementing the goals of FHQTC Health Services. This position will be responsible for working with communities to encompass a variety of initiates that will achieve common goals such as: implement prevention focused activities, reduction strategies, and implement strategies of traditional practices of tobacco use. This position will be based out of FHQ Health Services Office located in the All Nations' Healing Hospital in Fort Qu'Appelle, SK. The School of Tobacco Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating and delivering  the School of Tobacco Program.
- Assist Communities to plan, coordinate and deliver the Tobacco Community Challenge; a friendly competition between two FHQTC communities.
- Coordinate information sessions with communities.
- Providing support to front line health workers to enhance local programming.
- Preparing reports and briefings as required.
Qualifications:
- Must possess two years of post secondary training in the area of health or education, and two years experience working with youth;
- Project development and coordination; planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting;
- Experience in community development, facilitation, and liaison activities;
- Ability to work with First Nations youth, elders, and community members with familiarity and respect for culture and traditions;
- Ability to set priorities, organize, and work with groups;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team structure, and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and community workers;
- Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills;
- Must possess significant experience with Microsoft and Apple Computer operating systems;
- Must possess a valid SK driver's license and reliable vehicle;
- Must possess a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
